Andre Beaulne — Senior Animator · Rigger · Technical Director
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
I'm a senior animator, rigger, and technical director with over a decade leading rigging departments for TV animation — and nearly 30 years total across studios that shaped some of the medium's most recognizable series and films, including Walt Disney Animation, Nelvana, and Pipeline Studio. Classically trained at Sheridan College.
My focus today is Toon Boom Harmony rigging and pipeline technical direction: building character rigs that hold up across a full broadcast season. I move fluidly between 2D and 3D — Maya, Blender, Moho, Unity — and I've spent the last two years integrating AI-assisted workflows (ComfyUI) into production pipelines without compromising craft. My work has contributed to Daytime Emmy, Peabody, Annie, and WGC award-winning and nominated series.
Outside production, R.A.R.E. Avatar is where the technical work meets the personal — the meditative, cosmic imagery you see here is my own design and animation.
A short look at character work and effects in motion — comp, color, and rigging in action. More self-driven shorts, process breakdowns, and the life drawing & film study behind them are coming to the channel.
From classical hand-drawn cleanup to leading a rigging department — the throughline is always the character.
Personal projects, ongoing work, and the recognition that's come along the way.
An original fantasy adventure currently in development — character designs, storyboards, and animation tests.
Open to freelance rigging, technical direction, and animation collaborations.
